In this engaging, heart-warming presentation, Joel tells the story of how his years in day school and summer camp in the American Midwest led him to eventually volunteer for a combat unit of the IDF. A Chicago native, Joel currently lives in Ra’anana, Israel, with his Israeli wife and their four kids.

To date, Joel has performed stand-up comedy at more than 1,500 Jewish events in ten countries. He’s the
author of three books about Israel, including Israel 201 and his best-selling memoir The 188th Crybaby Brigade about his experience as a tank gunner in the Israeli army.
