VISITORS
Welcome visitors! We would love to have you join us for our services. If you wish to bring a group to observe our services or are a student fulfilling a world religions class project, please contact the Clergy Office at
clergyoffice@templeisraelnc.org or by calling 980-960-2379 to arrange a visit.
If you are an individual, a student or a group observing a service at Temple Israel for the first time, please take a moment to read the following information:
- Please contact the Clergy Office at least two weeks prior to your anticipated visit. We cannot guarantee that our clergy or staff will be able to meet with you to answer questions without advance notice.
- While there is no “dress code,” most men dress in attire ranging from business casual to suits and most women wear dressier clothes. As modesty is a foundation of Jewish values, it is suggested that people have their shoulders covered and not wear tank tops or sleeveless blouses/dresses.
- We respectfully ask that all men, regardless of faith, cover their heads while in the building. Women can choose if they would like to cover their heads. Yarmulkes and lace head coverings are provided.
- As a Conservative synagogue, we do not use electronics or write on the Sabbath and ask that you do not record, photograph, or take service notes while in the building.
- Friday evening services begin at 6:15 pm and end approximately at 7:00pm. Saturday morning services begin at 9:30 am and usually end between 12:00 and 12:15pm.
