In a world with growing feelings of antisemitism, it is important to remember and learn from our history.
On November 7th, Temple Israel will be joined by Levine JCC Butterfly Project, Queens University Stan Greenspon Center for Peace and Social Justice, Jewish Family Services of Greater Charlotte for the 80th Anniversary of Kristallnacht: Night of Broken Glass.
The evening will include speeches and performances from the following:
- Rabbi Murray Ezring and Cantor Shira Lissek
- St Peter's Episcopal Church - Charlotte, NC Choir (Elizabeth Lenti, Director)
- Eugene Kavadlo (Principal Clarinet, Charlotte Symphony Orchestra)
- Susan Blumberg (First Violin, Charlotte Symphony Orchestra)
- Jewish Community Youth Choir (featuring youth and teens from Temple Israel Religious School - TIRS, Hebrew High of Charlotte NC, Temple Beth El and more!)
- Noah Goldman (A response of the next generation)
- Survivors Irving Bienstock ("I Remember") and Suly Chenkin (A message of hope)
